Motley Hair Studio is a color and cut focused hair studio located in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. "Studio" is used to emphasize that the staff not only styles hair, but creates art. The founder Joy Stepanian began her journey in cosmetology while she was still in high school and took on her first salon job at 17. Over the following years, Joy continued her education by attending hair shows and classes, as well as experimenting on her own. Falling head over heels with not only the artistry of the career but the meaningful interactions with her clients, she established Motley Hair Studio in 2023. The magic of uplifting people through altering their appearance is felt through the entire staff. Our mission? To provide our clients with an inclusive range of experiences and professionals so they may become their most empowered self.
